  Day 1: Touchdown in Tanzania, Arrive Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO)

  You'll get ready to be amazed when you step off the plane! Once you clear border control, look for a sign with your name —our driver will be there to assist with your luggage. You'll ride in a modern, comfortable minivan with AC and soft drinks — perfect for unwinding after a long flight.

  Day 2: Tarangire National Park

  Today, your safari takes you to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most exciting wildlife spots!

The Tarangire River runs through the park, attracting giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and buffaloes, along with the lions that follow them. You’re almost certain to see these majestic predators!
  
  During the Dry season, the river becomes the only water source for miles, drawing huge elephant herds. Tarangire has Northern Tanzania’s largest elephant population for much of the year (especially June to October and December to March). These gentle giants aren’t shy and often come close to safari vehicles — completely safe, as they have no natural enemies and are simply curious.

  Day 3: Tarangire National Park – Lake Manyara National Park - Karatu

  You will spend the full day in Lake Manyara. Your guide will take you on a drive along the lakeshore

Your guide will take you on a drive along the lakeshore, surrounded by a beautiful green forest whose greenery attracts many animals to feed on it: zebras, antelopes, buffaloes, giraffes, and many others. The entire territory of this park is cut through with groundwater streams that provide a favorable environment for plants and, in addition, for a multitude of birds (including pink flamingos) and African forest animals.
  
  Around lunchtime, you will visit the Maji Moto hot springs. The driver will provide you with personal lunchboxes. After this stop, the safari will continue, and by evening, you will be transferred to the hotel.

  Day 4: Karatu - Ngorongoro Crater - Serengeti National Park

  On this day, we highly recommend leaving the hotel as early as possible. Your breakfast will be packed in lunchboxes specifically for this purpose.

This way, you will catch the precious morning hours in the Ngorongoro Crater when the animals are most active and extremely engaging to watch. At 6:30 AM, you will set off for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and in about an hour, you will already be inside the crater.
  
  Ngorongoro is one of Tanzania's most famous and exciting national parks! Here you can find the highest concentration of animals and the widest diversity per square kilometre. You will have the chance to see buffaloes, elephants, lions, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, and feline species such as caracals and servals. The luckiest travellers might even see rhinos, whose numbers are rapidly declining today.
  
  You will have lunch near the lake inhabited by hippos and continue your safari around the crater. Closer to the evening, you will start the drive towards a hotel in Serengeti.

  Serengeti is home to incredible wildlife, including lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and various antelopes.

  You have a full day to explore the Serengeti at your own pace! Your guide will help you spot the wildlife you're most excited to see and adjust the schedule to suit your preferences. You can either spend the whole day out with a picnic lunchbox or return to the lodge at midday for a break and a meal at the restaurant. The choice is yours!

  Your adventure in the Central Serengeti continues! Seronera is vast and full of life — there is too much to see in just one day.

  On your way back to Arusha, you’ll pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you drive through breathtaking landscapes, keep an eye out for baboons, buffaloes, and elephants!

  Day 8: Departure from Tanzania

  Your Matukio Adventures driver will pick you up from your accommodation and take you to the airport.
